Sociology
For an Environmental Sociology and Globalization course, we had a very open-ended assignment. I decided to make a video summarizing the arguments made by Stefano B. Longo and Rebecca Clausen that critique the theory of the tragedy of the commons.
The Psych Ward
For my Senior Capstone, I created a proof-of-concept for a VR walkthrough of a psych ward. Digital representations of psychiatric units are usually horror themed, and further stigmatize mental illness and treatment. I worked to help dismantle such a dangerous and outdated image through this project.
Filming Practice
This video was a one-week assignment for a film studies course. We were required to shoot a silent film including certain types of shots.
Toast
Toast was a video that I edited for an introductory art class. We were tasked with throwing a wrench in the gears of a current news story, using a kitchen appliance. It ended up being a commentary on a policy of the college dorms that prohibit the use of toasters.
12th Doctor Sonic Screwdriver
For a Virtual Technology and Design course, we were tasked with modeling a tool. I decided to make a replica of the 12th Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver from Doctor Who.
